What to say when someone is pressuring you to have sex

If you are still a virgin and someone is pressuring you to have sex it can be really stressful.

You can be at a loss for words when they say things like,  “Everyone is having sex or if you loved me you would do it”. If someone really loves you they are not going to pressure you to do something that you don’t feel ready to do.

If you are feeling uncomfortable, this may not be the right person for. Your Mr. Right could be just around the corner.

Here are a few things you can say to let them know you’re not ready in a funny way.

10 Best comebacks when someone tells you that everyone is having sex

1. I never have sex on on days that end in “Y.” .

2. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn’t look good either.

3. The voices inside my head are telling me to say no.

4. I’m saving myself for Cole Sprouse.

5. Well, I guess I didn’t get the DM for that party.

6. I am not everyone else, and I am going to take things at my own pace.

7. I am going to do what’s right for me. I don’t care what everyone else is doing.

8. I’m impressed by the sheer audacity of that comment.

9. Does that line ever work for you?

10. I appreciate your perspective, but I see things differently.

People may try to pressure you by saying everyone is doing it

When you are facing peer pressure to have sex with someone because apparently “everyone else is doing it” try to remember your choices should be based on what you really want, not want conforming to what other people are doing.

It can feel easier to follow the in crowd, but there can be serious consequences when it comes to making decisions that aren’t right for your beliefs or personal goals. It is OK to go with what feels right to you, and if people can’t accept your choices they may not be a good fit for your life. You always have the right to chose what is best for you.

Khloé Kardashian felt pressured to lose her virginity

Khloé Kardashian regrets being pressured into having sex at a young age. Here is what she has to say about being pressured to make a decision she regrets:

“My situation was not a good situation. I was 14 years old and dating an 18-year-old boy, which now I look back and think it’s disgusting, but then I thought I was really cool … Basically, I got pressured into having sex. I wasn’t ready. I barely knew my own body…

“I felt like if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be cool or this guy wouldn’t want to talk to me anymore … I didn’t have sex for the next three years, just because I didn’t feel comfortable with my body and I didn’t feel like I knew myself. And then being out of that environment, I knew I did the wrong thing and I was kind of forced to have sex.” —HLN, December 2012
